Arriva UK Bus are recruiting for a My Drive Lead to join their team across the Midlands. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for recruiting and overseeing the My Drive Champion population within their geographic area and to support and maintain the My Drive and bus driver coaching thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day organisation of the My Drive coaching programme.

Rolling out and embedding My Drive coaching across the Lead’s geographic area.- Training and supporting depot/garage Management Teams on the My Drive systems and ethos.
- Supporting Champions when they require additional assistance regarding Bus Driver coaching.
- Acting as a My Drive ambassador across all depots/garages within their geographic area.
- Upskilling Champions, to facilitate coaching delivery, across their geographic area.
- Creating a network of Champions to facilitate sharing of best practice.
- Support the recruitment of Champions to ensure a fair and equitable standard is being maintained.
About you
Has experience delivering training and coaching and has excellent facilitation and presentation skills.- Shows an ability and willingness to successfully engage with key stakeholder’s cross-business and, if appropriate, will challenge interpretations.
- Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively and is willing to tailor their communication technique to reinstate with the intended audience.
- Demonstrates strong organisational skills and has an ability to balance workload.
- Is people-centered and puts learner experience at the centre of everything they do.
- Demonstrates an appetite for talent development and can work to identify the route cause.
- Is able to demonstrate the ability to be a positive ambassador for change
- Can demonstrate an ability to identify challenge areas in Champions and work to improve them.
- Is competent at delivering quality monitoring assessments, against set standards.
- Has a strong understanding of the fundamentals of Bus Driving and ‘Green Driving’.
- Flexible approach to tasks and working hours in line with business needs.
- Is willing to travel across their own area, but also to support other regions as business requirement dictates.
