Project Administrator - Inside IR35

Contract Term: 9 Months

Contracting Authority: Ministry of Justice (MoJ)

Location: Hybrid – Remote & 2 days p/week in local MoJ office.

The Pensions Operations Team sits within the Financial Management and Control Directorate of the Ministry of Justice. The Team is responsible for operational delivery of policy and legislative changes being made through the Judicial Pensions Reform Programme, including legally required remedies following litigation losses such as the McCloud judgment (see https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/consultation-on-the-proposed-response-to-mccloud). We are also responsible for ongoing effective administration of the judicial pension schemes via the third-party administrator and support to the statutory Judicial Pension Board.

As a Project Administrator your main responsibilities would be:

· Supporting the Operational Delivery lead & wider team in developing, agreeing & executing plans to deliver options exercises.

· Providing clear & comprehensive responses to queries from judges in scope of the options exercise.

· Working with the pensions administrator & other suppliers to process judge’s choices – ensuring correct pension benefits & any other amounts due are received.

· Working with the Operational Delivery lead – developing & agreeing a clear decision-making process and rationale.

· Ensuring a record is retained of operational decisions in general & in relation to individual cases.

· Investigating & responding to any complaints received in relation to the options exercise.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

· Excellent written & oral communication skills.

· Strong stakeholder management skills – inc. complaint resolution.

· Project management environment experience.

· MS Office proficiency – inc. Excel.

· A background in claims handling / compensation / pensions – ideal.

· An understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and/or operational delivery of complex policy reforms – desirable.

· Experience of working with third party administrators – desirable.
